Camp Pendleton Veterinary Clinic - Mission Statement
Our mission at the Camp Pendleton VTF is to provide high quality veterinary care to our patients at a reasonable cost to our clients. Because our primary patients are the Military Working Dogs (MWDs), we simply don't have the resources to run as a full-service veterinary hospital. In light of our demanding mission with the MWDs, we focus our Personally Owned Animal (POA) mission on preventive medicine. We offer appointments for vaccinations, microchip implantation, health certificates for travel, wellness exams, and limited sick call. We encourage our clients to call our appointment line for availability of sick call appointments, but often it may be in the pet's best interest to be seen off base in the cases of emergencies, surgeries, or cases requiring hospitalization or advanced diagnostics.
Surgery
Because of our demanding MWD mission, the Camp Pendleton VTF generally cannot accommodate requests for surgical procedures for our POAs. On rare occasions, our Army veterinarians will perform surgical procedures on POAs for training purposes. These procedures are typically those that contribute to a high level of preparedness with regards to our MWD mission. Surgical availability at the Camp Pendleton VTF is not based on a client's rank or position, and is not done on a first come first serve basis. Availability is completely dependent upon the Army veterinarians' other ongoing missions and should not be relied upon or expected by our clients.

News
We understand that our normal business hours cannot always accommodate everyone who would like to visit us. We will be holding a Saturday Vaccine Clinic on Jan. 23 from 8-11 a.m. Appointments are on a walk-in basis, so arrive early. This clinic will be for vaccines and microchip implantation only.
